Keränen & Eric Robert(son) Keränen
Helsinki, Finland
My name is SidSid Keränen (and
sometimes they call me even Risto Juha Tapani... to have it in
books, so to speak) and my wife's Marina Sazanovich. We
have got married in August 26th 1994, though we met each other way
back in 1989 (a night of August 6th).

I am a Macintosh expert. I bought my first own home computer,
Macintosh Plus, in 1987 (and they robbed out of my pocket hugh
quantity of money, up to 20.000 FIM, which was a big big money
at the time). Now some 22 years later I have full loaded
corner with all kind of professional Mac equipments around a year old
Macintosh G4 (867MHz, 1Gb/60Gb) and my
old Power Macintosh 7200/90. The new machine has got a CD-RW/DVD-R, a color
printer and a scanner, and the old one is mostly for B&W printing
(800dpi) and
as a
disk driver.
I work nowadays as a freelancer.
I studied 1983 to 1985 in Keski-Suomen
ammattioppilaitos (former Keski-Suomen keskusammattikoulu) to
be professional printing house worker.
I started my working experience as a
paper assembler (with the help of Linotronic and later Agfa Compugraphic
composing machines). The beginning of 1989 I finally found my
way into Macintosh composing room. After that I've worked with
nothing else but Macintosh, till I moved to Helsinki in summer 1998. I
worked four and half years in firm, where I had also some
PC's.
As
a
regular
programmes I used to use Adobe Illustrator, Quark and Corel Draw,
but my real favourites are InDesign, FreeHand and PhotoShop.
For web sites I used to use Dreamweaver. And I'm naturally a Macintosh
freak.
From 1995 to 1999 I wrote movie critics in a local newspaper (60,000
copies every week).
And here's my productive years listed.
Marina
Sazanovich
She is a Foreign Languages teacher from Ukraine. She studied
English and French in the Pedagogical Institute
of Foreign Languages in Kiev (from 1983 to 1988). Her two other languages
are Russian, Ukrainian and, naturally, Finnish.
She taught English in her home country
during 1988 to 1995 in various schools (for instance technical,
professional schools and State Pedagogical Institute in Ukraine).
In Finland she spent Finnish language
courses for 8 months and the Course for Immigrant Teachers in
the University of Jyvaskyla for 6 months. In Helsinki she acheved the level
5 for Finnish language (2006).
She knows five languages, but
it is only a passage to a large variety of languages
(English and French gives languages like Spanish and Italian,
Russian and Ukrainian helps with Polish and relative languages
etc.). We speak at home English. Her talent of languages is a gift, I have
to say.
Activities
Though the main priority around here is family, we have other
hobbies too. We love movies on
a big screen and video (if possible on DVD). And minimum of
once a year we used to visit out of Finland. She can make brilliant
travelling albums, but you cannot find them on this site. Sorry,
it's unfortunately impossible thing to do.
Our first kid is a boy, Eric Robert(son) Keränen,
and he was born 15th of December, 1998, 11:36 o'clock in Helsinki. He's
got immediately rare 10 (out of 10) points as a birth class. He's the future
ruler of some kind.
The second kid was a boy, too. His name is Vladimir Sazanovych.
He was born 10th of April, 2004, after 24+1 weeks pregnancy, and died
on 5th day (see pict bellow).
See genealogy (sukutaulu) in Finnish.
Before I met my better half, the love of my life, an iris
of my eye, I made among other things couple no-budjet movies.
First movie was a 13 minutes horror movie called "Kotiinpaluu"
("Homecoming", 1991). Second movie in
a series of our horror trilogy of stories of the yellow house
was 17 minutes and is called "1 H + K + WC" ("A
Single Room with Privy", 1993).
In "Kotiinpaluu" girl's boyfriend dies in a Russian
nuclear powerplant explosion. Girl does not want to live
alone, and she excorcists with the help of mystic cristal her
boyfriend alive. But homecoming boyfriend is not human anymore.
In second movie ("1 H + K + WC") a new guy rents
the yellow house. House is same, but this time house is a
evil entity. Guy brings into the house an another entity (the
bag or something inside of it); movie is a compitition of two
entities. You can find both video movies from a movie and document
archives in Denmark.
In
the series of stories in the yellow house should be a conclusion movie,
but unfortunately our team broke during script perioid. The team was
called "Raihnakuva" ("Rai[h]na"
is an old Finnish word for "movies"). "Raihnakuva"
was SidSid Keränen, Hanna
Miia Kuusimäki and Irma
Hirsjärvi. Our cameraman, Petri Voudinmäki
was also part of our team.
I have been on video editing course (1993) and in a team to make some
Finnish television serials and full feature films (1994, 2008).
