[I] II

"Ogre II"

8 pgs. Appeared first time in Fantagor #5 (1983).
Story/Art: Richard Corben (no signature). Lettering: printed (Corben).

In French: as "Ogre II [FRA]" in Metal Hurlant #107 (1985), L'Echo des savanes spécial U.S.A. #34/35 "nouvelle série" (1988) and Créatures de crève (1989).
In Italy: as "Ogre II [ITA]" in L'Eternauta #34.
In Spanish: as "Ogre II [SPA]" in Creepy [SPA] Almanaque 1984 and Richard Corben obras completas #12 (1992).

Keywords: Mistress. Ogre. Talking carcass. Lost beauty. Promises. Splitting headache. Flee.
Synopsis: Dumog used to be an ogre. Mistress Mortana spelled him back to man with a revenge to transform his beloved Byrna as ugly ogre instead. A living carcass talks Dumog round to kill Mistress to reverse everything like they were. Rotten head promises that Dumog will be a handsome prince.
Comment: The rerun of "Ogre [I]" story is a little bit useless. Graphically story is brilliant, but the story does not give anything new or interesting. The first story was made in a photo collage technique and Mr. Corben wanted originally to do the same with this sequel, but he had to forget that idea. Mistress Mortana has a great resemblance with sexy Horrilor. Back to human form transformed Byrna looks like a model Karen Gibertson, who Mr. Corben used a lot.
