"The Mummy's Victory"

5 pgs. Appeared first time in Creepy #84 (1976). Reprinted in Vampirella [AUS] #52 (1978) and in Creepy #132 (1981).
Story: Roger McKenzie. Art: Richard Corben.

In France: as "La victoire de la momie" in Une femme bafouée (1982), and Fantastik #9.
In Spain: as "La victoria de la momia" in Vampus #67 (1977).

Keywords: Mummy. Football. Museum. Escape. Victory. Practical joke.
Synopsis: A crowd is cheering for brilliant football player. A mummy wakes up for cheering and collect his victory.
Comment: McKenzie's story is not successful, but it has got anyway an interesting inside drive. And if not fresh, but a different portrait of mummy's day. Corben is in his best, in this small story, in rare face close-ups (the lower parts of pg 1, 2, and 4). Figures in panels are too far and small. Page 2 is more or less successful and harmonic.
