"For the Love of a Daemon"
7 pgs. Appeared first time in Fantagor
#4 (1972). Reprinted in Richard Corben's Funny
Book (1976), in The
Odd Comic World of Richard Corben (1978) and Richard Corben Complete Works #1 (1985).
Story/Color(prob. colored by overlays)/Art: Richard Corben
(signed as Richard Corben, 1972). Lettered by hand (Corben).

Keywords: Sorcerer. Maiden sacrifice. Knight.
Synopsis: Sorcerer Vile Vermian and his slow friend Zomuk
[same as Zeg and Zomug] kiddnap a voluptuous girl Marya for secret
ceremony. They also get rid of eager knight, though Zomuk releases
him to save the girl.
Comment: Very good artwork and colors are mostly okay
(last frame of story is B&W), story, by his own, is a little
bit better than usually (specially humorous points) but nothing
brilliant. Title of The Odd Comic World version is black
on red background ("Daemond" outline), but in Complete
Works version all letters are red on black background. Red "The End" (in
last frame of the story) of Complete
Works they replace with B&W typed letters. Sharp eyed can
point out male genitales from first frame of the story...
